The Demand Driven Operations Professional (DDOP)™ is a professional endorsement certification offered by the Demand Driven Institute, the global authority for Demand Driven education, training, certification and compliance.  The DDOP™ is earned by an individual who can analyze an environment, place control points and time and apply demand driven scheduling and execution concepts. The endorsement is intended as an extension endorsement from the DDPP™ endorsement.  An individual achieves DDOP™ endorsement by successfully completing a rigorous test.  Upon successful completion of the test an endorsement certificate will be issued and the individual may begin using "DDOP" in their professional title.  The individual will also be issued an electronic certificate and badge for use with their social media profiles.

TESTING INSTRUCTIONS

​When you are ready to test follow the detailed instructions below to access the exam.  Allow yourself a few minutes to work through this process and the exam is available immediately after completing the registration process.  You do NOT need to schedule a time and day.  The exam is available on demand.

  1. Obtain a Prolydian user account.  Fill in all field marked with *  NOTE:  Your email is your user ID.  If you already have a Prolydian account simply log-in.

  2. All exams are charged in USD.  

  3. Fill in all fields marked with *. 

  4. If you have a coupon code enter the code provided in the box.  Click “Continue”

  5. You can now print a receipt for the exam or launch the exam. 

  6. Click “Start”. Please note, you do not have to immediately start your test.  Once registration and payment process is complete you can log back in at anytime to start your exam.

Exam preparation

This test should not be taken lightly.  Individuals can prepare for the Demand Driven Operations Professional (DDOP)™ test through four avenues:

  1. ATTEND a Demand Driven Operations (DDO)™ Program – the official DDOP test prep session. 

  2. TAKE - the sample test and watch the video on how to solve the problems to get the right answers on the sample exam.  To gain access to this feature you must have attended the Demand Driven Operations (DDO)™ Program.  Request DDO content access on the DDO page.

  3. WATCH the latest recorded version of the Demand Driven Planner (DDO)™ Program.  If you have attended a previous live or online DDO Program you can access the recording for free.  Request DDO content access on the DDO page.

eXam information & Content

The DDOP™ test is built on the more advanced stages of Bloom’s Taxonomy - Apply, Analyze and Evaluate.  The test taker is given 180 minutes (3 hours) to answer 50 questions multiple choice questions selected from the item bank related to specific given scenarios and the below categories.

The DDOP Test has four categories.  Each category has a number of subcategories that questions will be assigned to:

NOTE: At the beginning of the exam the test taker will be given four scenarios to study.  The test taker should study these scenarios carefully and model capacities, buffers and system potential before advancing to the first questions.  Questions for each scenario will be "clustered" for continuity.​

The DDOP™ test is an open book test – notes and references can be used.  We encourage you to have a spreadsheet program ready – it may make some calculations/series of calculations easier to manage.  A calculator feature is included in the testing mechanism.

 

The test is offered through our testing partner Prolydian.  The testing center relies on the most advanced online testing technology utilized by nearly one thousand organizations around the world across a range of sectors including, business, government, higher education and certification and credentialing bodies.  As the testing center is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week an individual can take the exam at a time and place that is convenient for them.

Upon successful completion you will receive an email that contains information about obtaining your electronic badge and certificate.  Please read the email carefully. 

  • The electronic badges are managed through an independent entity - BadgeCert.

  • The DDOP certificate is issued by the Demand Driven Institute and is available as a link with your badge for you to print.

  • Your badge and certificate are good for five years.  See the DDOP Certificate Maintenance section about badge and certificate renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is the exam proctored? No, the exam is at a level that proctoring is essentially useless.  You will be asked to agree to a statement before starting the exam regarding sharing any insight and information you gain during the test.

  2. What if I fail my first attempt?  If you fail your first attempt at the test you get a second attempt for free, however, you must wait seven days to test again.  You will receive an email with a breakdown of your performance by section.  YOU MUST OBTAIN A NEW coupon code from DDI Admin to use for your second attempt.  To obtain that second code, you must email DDI Admin for a secondary code.

  3. Can I use resources during the test?  Yes.  The test is open book.  We would also encourage you to have a spreadsheet program ready – it may make some calculations/series of calculations easier to manage.  A calculator feature is included in the testing mechanism.

  4. What if I lose connectivity during the test? If connectivity is lost during the exam, please attempt to log back into the exam as soon as it is restored. You may be able to complete the exam. You can also contact DDI at exam@demanddriveninstitute.com.

DDOP™ Certificate Maintenance

DDOP™ certificate holders are required to have 20 Continuing Education Units (CEU) every five years in order to maintain their endorsement.  Each CEU is equivalent to 1 hour of “qualified content”.  A list of qualified content is included below:

  • Attendance of DDI produced webinars

  • Watching available videos on the DDI website

  • Watching available videos through DDI’s ondemand system

  • Watching the latest recording of the Demand Driven Operations (DDO)™ Program

  • Attendance of a Demand Driven World™ Conference

  • Attendance of other DDI educational products (Demand Driven Leader™, Adaptive Enterprise Foundations™, Precisely Wrong Workshop™, etc.)

  • Attendance of DDI Affiliates and event partners (look for the DDI CEU Qualified Content logo)

  • Attendance of other qualified offerings (look for the DDLP™ CEU Qualified Content logo)

  • Subsequent achievement of AEFP™, ASTP™, DDSCP™ professional endorsement – 10 points
